Stability AI, gunning for a hit, launches an AI-powered music generator

AWS launches global generative AI accelerator for startups

Walker said that it is Dialpad’s longtime deep expertise in natural language processing (NLP) and AI that allowed the company to pull off DialpadGPT. In early 2018, Dialpad acquired TalkIQ,  an enterprise AI leader in conversational Yakov Livshits data. While other conversational AI providers use popular LLMs like ChatGPT, they are generic, without business-specific data. It is also available to select beta customers on QuickBooks and will roll out to all U.S. users in the coming months. Moreover, it is currently accessible to a specific group of Mailchimp customers, with a broader expansion slated for the upcoming months. In the case of Intuit, it is even crucial as the company is working with its customers’ financial and transactional data.

Stable Audio wasn’t developed by Harmonai — or, rather, it wasn’t developed by Harmonai alone. Stability’s audio team, formalized in April, created a new model inspired by Dance Diffusion to underpin Stable Audio, which Harmonai then trained. A year ago, Stability AI, the London-based startup behind the open source image-generating AI model Stable Diffusion, quietly released Dance Diffusion, a model that can generate songs and sound effects given a text description of the songs and sound effects in question. However, because clinical data comes in so many forms, formats and systems, cloud-based AI and ML tools are relied on to process incomplete and unstructured data and shepherd interoperability, according to Phoebe Yang, now board director at both GE Healthcare and Doximity.

With support from Microsoft and leveraging Azure OpenAI Services, EY teams are building and deploying advanced Generative AI solutions to enhance EY service offerings. Stability AI customers who pay $11.99 per month for the Pro tier of Stable Audio can generate 500 commercializable tracks up to 90 seconds long monthly. Free tier users are limited to 20 non-commercializable tracks at 20 seconds long per month.

But considering the hurdles Stability has to clear, it’s safe to say it’s a bit of a long shot. To train Stable Audio, Stability AI partnered with the commercial music library AudioSparx, which supplied a collection of songs — around 800,0000 in total — from its catalog of largely independent artists. Steps were taken to filter out vocal tracks, according to Newton-Rex — presumably over the potential ethical and copyright quandries around “deepfaked” vocals. While computing siloed data with AI and ML can better manage population health, and drive value and efficiency across the healthcare system, reconciling the value of large-scale centralized data lakes and the need to uphold privacy must also be addressed, she advised. In healthcare, cloud computing can make personalized care, value-based care and genomic research possible.

This is effectively a “free” tier, though vendors will ultimately pass on costs to customers as part of bundled incremental price increases to their products. “Leveraging our vast amounts of rich data and years of investment in AI and GenAI, we’re unlocking the power of our platform to reimagine AI-assisted customer experiences,” Goodarzi said in a prepared statement. “With our new generative AI models, we can infer, improve, and enrich product knowledge at an unprecedented scale and with dramatic improvement in quality, performance, and efficiency. The feature should help sellers save time and create higher quality and consistency in listings, thereby enhancing the customer’s shopping experience. “As more applications that leverage AI emerge, phones will be tasked with powering them, a dynamic that will make phones with legacy chips feel sluggish,” Munster said. “Chips are important when it comes to AI, and Apple is leading the way in building the hardware to enable those features.”
